Are you organizing a slackline-event or running a slackline association training? And you want to spice up the event with some fun challenges? Then the Slacktivity Festival Games will the perfect choice for you.
The Festival Games are similar to a fun boulder competition. All the festival participants get a score card and try to gain as many points as possible during the event. The participants decide on their own at what time they want to solve the slackline challenges.
You as an organizer don’t have much work. You can decide which and how many challenges you want to implement. In the list below you can see for what kind of slackline the challenges are great for. We have created some for Beginner-Slacklines / Tricklines, Rodeolines, Acro Lines and DaVinci Slacklines. Potentially you can even use the same challenge on 2 different slacklines.
How it Works
Challenges: Choose and print the challenges you wan to use. Potentially laminate them to make them weatherproof. Write the number of the challenge in the green square on the upper-left corner. Implement up to 20 challenges. If there are not enough slacklines, simply use more than 1 challenge at the same slackline.
Score Card: Print and give out a score card to every festival participant.
Slackline Type: There are challenges for Tricklines, Rodeolines, Akrolines (very steep rodeolines, ideally use the soft Slacktivity Acroline webbing), DaVinci Line, Etc. Potentially you can even use the same challenge on 2 different slackline types.
Safety: Make sure to implement the necessary safety like mats, etc.
ExtraGear: Don’t forget to prepare the gear like skipping ropes, ball, limbo-bar(or rubber cord) Etc.
Winner: You as a festival organizer decide who wins. The one who gets more points? The one who scores exactly in the middle? Chose the winner(s) by raffle? Is there anything to win? Money? Gear? Nothing except for fun challenges?

Challenges
Choice of Slackline:
Rodeoline (Ideally use a thin slackline like the Y2K or pinkTube as it rolls better. You can have it stitched together to an endless loop or simply connect the ends with knots. Then hang the slackline between 2 HangOvers. Make sure it is the HangOver version without gaps. And be aware that the HangOver is stronger and more efficient compared to other rolling carabiners, which makes it the better choice here). Make sure that the HangOvers are aligned super straight! With a bit of experience this system works great. Of course you can also use bigger pulleys like Kooteneys if you have such things at hand..!
Choice of Slackline:
Tight Beginner Line / Trickline (Allround, Experience, superJumpline)
Choice of Slackline:
Tight Beginner Line / Trickline (Allround, Experience, superJumpline)
Extra Gear: Skipping Rope (or just a simple short rope)
Choice of Slackline:
Beginner Line or Rodeoline (Allround, redTube, Y2K, etc.) – if you want, implement this challenge twice. Either with different types of slacklines or different types of Hula Hoops.
Extra Gear: Limbo bar (this can be a wooden stick placed on 2 tables or a rubber cord. Just improvise here… Potentially play with the height of the bar.
Choice of Slackline:
Tight Beginner Line / Trickline (Allround, Experience, superJumpline)
Extra Gear: High Jump bar (this can be a wooden stick placed on 2 tables or a rubber cord. Just improvise here… Potentially play with the height of the bar. Make sure that the bar gives way if the slackliner hits it. If some people want to jump really high, potentially place mats underneath the slackline.
Choice of Slackline:
Tight Beginner Line / Trickline (Allround, Experience, superJumpline)
Extra Gear: A box, stable chair or similar to place underneath the line. Make sure that the box has a flat surface to prevent an ankle twist.
Choice of Slackline:
Beginner Line or Rodeoline (Allround, redTube, Y2K, etc.) – if you want, implement this challenge twice with 2 different slacklines. Actually we encourage you to do that on this challenge.
Extra Gear: Balls of different sizes. Ideally also a big gymnastics ball as this is the easiest. Foam balls are also a great choice.
Choice of Slackline:
DaVinci Line (ideally watch the video on how to install the DaVinci Line)
Extra Gear: Thick Mat.

Choice of Slackline: Beginner line / trickline (Allround, Experience, superJumpline)
Choice of Slackline:
Choice of slackline: Very steep rodeoline. Ideally use the SLACKTIVITY AcroLine as it is much softer than any other line and makes this challenge feel amazing.
Make sure that it is not possible to hit the tree with the head when going for the chest swing.
